Voters in Berlin elect Die Linke

Die Linke emerged as the leading party in the Berlin state elections. According to reports from Agenzia SIR and RomaSette, the far-left party's victory comes amid political shifts in the German states.

If coalitions including the Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) are excluded, forming a government in Berlin may require difficult alliances between Die Linke, the Social Democrats, and the Verdi. In Meclemburgo-Pomerania Anteriore, the AfD saw significant success. Other parties experienced mixed results, including the Cdu and the Spd, while the Liberal party appeared to lose its presence in the German electoral scene.

Final results and the official allocation of seats in local parliaments are still required to determine the exact composition of future state governments.
