Yayasan Karakter Anak Papua and Komisi Kerasulan Kitab Suci Keuskupan Timika strengthen Catholic children's development

The Yayasan Karakter Anak Papua (YKAP) and the Commission on Biblical Apostolate of the Timika Diocese held a coordination meeting on September 18, 2026, to prepare for the BKSN–Pekan Cahaya II 2027 event. The meeting took place at the YKAP Hall in Timika to align visions for competitions planned for the 2027 program. This effort follows the first BKSN–Pekan Cahaya event held in 2025 by SMAK St. Ignatius Timika.

As part of the preparations, the groups held a "Day with Fellow Believers" program from September 18 to 20, 2026. Participants attended sessions based on their school level, including elementary, junior high, and high school students. During these sessions, children received lessons on the theme "The Face of Jesus in Me" and participated in competition simulations to develop their talents.

YKAP is organizing these activities in collaboration with the Timika Diocese Commission on Biblical Apostolate, various Catholic communities, and local believers in Timika.
