Saint Mary’s Cathedral, located in San Francisco, California, is the third cathedral to serve the Archdiocese of San Francisco. The current structure was completed in 1970 and formally blessed on May 5, 1971. Designed by a team including well-known architects Pietro Belluschi and Pier-Luigi Nervi, the modern cathedral reflects San Francisco's status as an international urban center. Over one hundred priests and half-a-dozen bishops have been ordained at this significant site.
