Christian schools in Jerusalem suspended classes on September 1 after Israel declined to renew entry permits for over 70 Palestinian teachers and staff members. The General Secretariat of Christian Educational Institutions said the measure undermines the stability of schools and affects students and staff. This is the second time this year that the schools have suspended classes due to permit issues.
