The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria condemned the latest wave of killings and abductions in the country. They called on the government and security agencies to take urgent action to end the violence. The bishops expressed deep sorrow over the recent abduction of more than 60 worshippers from a mosque and the killing of 47 people in Benue State.
