Maximilian Kolbe offers life for fellow prisoner

Maximilian Kolbe, a Polish Franciscan priest, was killed at Auschwitz after giving his life to save another prisoner. He was deported to Auschwitz in 1941 and offered to die in place of a father of a family. Kolbe's sacrifice is remembered as a powerful example of love and faith.
