History
A Latin Church see of the Catholic Church in Australia, Broken Bay is a suffragan diocese within the province of the metropolitan Archdiocese of Sydney. Archbishop Anthony Randazzo, appointed the diocese's fourth bishop on 7 October 2019, now serves as its apostolic administrator: after meeting Pope Leo XIV in March 2026, he was named prefect of the Dicastery for Legislative Texts on 25 March 2026, and he intends to remain apostolic administrator for three months before moving to Rome.
