Latin Church diocese seated at Yanzhou in Shandong, China, suffragan of the Archdiocese of Jinan. Created on December 2, 1885 as the Apostolic Vicariate of Southern Shantung, renamed Apostolic Vicariate of Yanzhoufu in 1924, and promoted to the Diocese of Yanzhou on April 11, 1946. Its cathedral is the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit in Yanzhou; Bishop John Lu Peisen has served since 2011.

History

Yanzhou, also rendered Yenchow (Latin: Ienceuven(sis), Chinese: 兖州), is a Roman Catholic diocese located in Yanzhou in Shandong, within China's ecclesiastical province of Jinan. Its cathedral is now held by the Patriotic Church of China.
