The Diocese of Hualien is a Latin Catholic diocese covering eastern Taiwan, erected as an apostolic prefecture in 1952 and raised to a diocese in 1963. It is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Taipei and has been led by Bishop Philip Huang Chao-ming since 2001.

History
First established as the Apostolic Prefecture of Hualien in 1952 and elevated to a full diocese in 1963, the Diocese of Hualien (Latin: Dioecesis Hvalienensis) is a Latin Church diocese of the Catholic Church in Taiwan, suffragan to the Archdiocese of Taipei. Its current bishop is Philip Huang Chao-ming, appointed in November 2001.
