Diocese of Kamyanets-Podilskyi

Camenecen(sis) Latinorum

Latin Church diocese in Podilia, Ukraine, founded around 1375 by Pope Urban VI, suppressed under Russian rule in 1866, reactivated in 1918 and formally renewed by Pope John Paul II in 1991. It is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Lviv; the seat is the Cathedral of Sts. Peter and Paul in Kamianets-Podilskyi.

History

Ukraine's Latin Church includes the Diocese of Kamianets-Podilskyi (Latin: Dioecesis Camenecensis Latinorum). Its current bishop, Maksymilian Leonid Dubrawski O.F.M, was appointed to the episcopal see on 4 May 2002.
