History
Within the Ecclesiastical Province of Venice lies the Diocese of Verona (Latin: Dioecesis Veronensis), a Latin see of the Catholic Church in northern Italy. Its bishop is seated at Verona in the Veneto, with the episcopal throne in the cathedral, a church originally dedicated to S. Maria Matricolare and S. George.
