Pope Leo XIV released a message for the 112th World Day of Migrants and Refugees, which is observed on Sunday, September 27, 2026. The theme, "Even Just One of These Children," directs attention to minors directly affected by migration and fleeing their homes.

The Pope noted that children and adolescents are the most vulnerable members of global migration flows. He stated that millions are forced to leave their lands due to war, poverty, violence, and environmental disasters, and that these numbers are increasing. The message highlights the suffering of young people who have lost family members or are separated from relatives while attempting to reunite.
