Bishop Felice Accrocca speaks to Italian Episcopal Conference

Bishop Felice Accrocca told members of the Permanent Council of the Italian Episcopal Conference that the episcopal palace in Assisi is one of the most significant locations regarding the life of Saint Francis. Speaking to the bishops and pilgrims at the episcopal palace on October 3, Accrocca noted that while historical records do not document every street Francis walked, the palace served as a place where the saint sought guidance.

Accrocca explained that Francis passed through the palace doors before he stripped himself of his clothes. He suggested that during times when Francis was uncertain of his path, he turned to the Bishop of Assisi for support and spiritual direction.

The meeting included a visit to the Museum of Memory. The bishops were received by Vicar General Giovanni Zampa and social communications director Marina Rosati.
