Apostolado da Oração holds first pilgrimage to future shrine in Palmas de Monte Alto

Apostolado da Oração held its first diocesan pilgrimage to the future Sanctuary of NSª Mãe de Deus e dos Homens Rainha do Sertão in Palmas de Monte Alto on Sunday, September 27. Caravans from 7 cities within the Diocese of Caetité traveled to the site for a day of prayer and walking.

Participants from parishes in Ibitira, Guanambi, Condeúba, Pindaí, Urandi, Brumado, and Malhada attended the event, along with the Movimento Eucarístico Jovem from Guanambi. After arriving at the Igreja do Divino Espírito Santo, the group attended a Mass led by Father Ademilson Jesuino, the diocesan spiritual director for the Apostolado da Oração.

The pilgrims then walked to the Ruínas da Igreja Nova to honor the Sagrado Coração de Jesus and learn about the history of the location. The pilgrimage concluded at the Igreja de Nossa Senhora Mãe de Deus e dos Homens with Adoração ao Santíssimo Sacramento and the prayer of the Terço da Misericórdia.
