Archbishop Claudio Maniago begins pastoral visit in Taverna

Archbishop Claudio Maniago began a pastoral visit to the first synodal zone of the Gimigliano-Taverna Vicariate on September 19, 2026. The visit includes the communities of Taverna, Albi, and San Giovanni d’Albi within the Archdiocese of Catanzaro-Squillace.

The Archbishop started the visit with an inaugural meeting in Piazza Poerio in Taverna. The scheduled program for the following weeks includes various celebrations and meetings with local groups, such as visits to the sick. The Archbishop chose the phrase "do this in memory of me" as the theme for the visit to center the journey on the Eucharist.
