Bishop Michele presides over celebrations at Camposampiero and Treviso

Bishop Michele presided over two religious celebrations on October 3 and 4 at the Sanctuary of the Vision in Camposampiero and the Church of San Francesco in Treviso.

At the Sanctuary of the Vision, the Bishop marked the centenary of the church's consecration. The event also honored Saint Anthony, whose final stay is remembered at the site. Bishop Michele noted that the sanctuary's history of abandonment and rebirth reflects the life of faith within pastoral communities. He highlighted the importance of humility, pointing to the small, poor cell housed within the large sanctuary as a symbol of God's presence.

In Treviso, the Bishop led celebrations at the Church of San Francesco to honor the patron saint of Italy. The liturgy commemorated the 800th anniversary of the death of Saint Francis of Assisi. During the events, the Bishop connected the lives of Francis and Anthony, noting how Francis once referred to Anthony as his bishop.
