Censis to host meeting on the Catholic community's role in Italian society

The Censis institute will host a meeting on November 4 at 18:00 at the Accademia Nazionale di San Luca in Rome. The event marks 50 years since the 1976 ecclesial convention titled “Evangelizzazione e promozione umana.”

The meeting will examine the social contribution of the Catholic community and its presence in contemporary reality. Giuseppe De Rita stated that the Church must redesign its intellectual and political posture as a collective subject within a pluralistic and polycentric cultural and social framework.

Speakers include Cardinal Matteo Zuppi, archbishop of Bologna and president of the Italian Episcopal Conference, historian Andrea Riccardi, Massimo Franco, and Giuseppe De Rita.
