Bishop Dom Geovane meets with priests in foranias

Bishop Geovane Luis da Silva is meeting with priests from various deaneries across the Diocese of Divinópolis throughout September. During a meeting in Carmo do Cajuru on September 17, the bishop met with priests from the Nossa Senhora do Carmo deanery, which includes parishes in Carmo do Cajuru, Divinópolis, and São Gonçalo do Pará.

The discussions focused on priestly pastoral care, how priests live together, and the creation of a house for priests. Earlier this month, the bishop held meetings with priests from the Santo Antônio deanery, covering parishes in Azurita, Igarapé, Juatuba, Mateus Leme, and São Joaquim de Bicas. He also met with priests from the Divino Espírito Santo deanery, which includes parishes in Divinópolis and Ermida. The bishop is scheduled to visit the remaining deaneries in the diocese by the end of the month.
