Caritas Eparhial Cluj holds "A Million Stars" event

Caritas Eparhial Cluj held its "One Million Stars" event on the evening of October 28, 2026, to show solidarity with vulnerable people. Participants placed lit candles on the asphalt in Cluj-Napoca, which illuminated the facade of the Cathedral.

The association organized the event to encourage passersby to support marginalized individuals through direct gestures of solidarity or by accepting sweets and attention offered by the group. Father Gabriel Manu, director of Caritas Cluj, addressed those in attendance.

The event coincided with the commemoration of the night the martyr bishops were arrested. The association noted the connection between the hardships faced by the bishops and the contemporary struggles of vulnerable people, such as hunger, cold, and illness.
