Curitiba recognized as 1st Pro-Life Capital of Brazil

Curitiba has been recognized as the 1st Pro-Life Capital of Brazil. During a ceremony at the Ópera de Arame on Tuesday, the title was presented to Mayor Eduardo Pimentel.

The Archdiocese of Curitiba stated the title highlights the city's commitment to promoting, defending, and caring for human life at every stage. According to the Archdiocese, the recognition honors the work of various people and organizations that protect human dignity, support families, assist vulnerable populations, and promote policies for the common good.

The Archdiocese noted that local parishes, pastoral groups, and movements have developed several initiatives, including support for pregnant women, protection for children, and care for the elderly and those in vulnerable situations. The Archbishop of Curitiba said the recognition honors the institutions and individuals dedicated to solidarity and caring for those in need.
