Bishop Fintan Gavin welcomes Alpha teams

Bishop Fintan Gavin welcomed members of diocesan Alpha teams to a recent gathering for formation and reflection. The participants met to prepare for running Alpha programs in their parishes and Families of Parishes this autumn.

During the event, Bishop Gavin shared his personal experience with the program, describing it as a gentle way for people to encounter Jesus, prayer, and the Holy Spirit. He noted that the process encourages honest questions and helps develop relationships among participants.

The bishop encouraged the teams to approach evangelization through personal dialogue. He advised them to listen to the joys, hopes, and concerns of others as a way to share the Gospel.
