Diocese of Trento to hold elections for pastoral councils and parish committees on November 22

The Diocese of Trento will hold elections to renew its pastoral councils and parish committees on Sunday, November 22, 2026. The vote will include all pastoral zones in the diocese except for Vallagarina. Elections in Vallagarina are postponed to a later date because Archbishop Lauro Tisi is currently conducting a pastoral visit in that area.

The pastoral councils serve as consultative bodies for discernment and participation. These councils, composed of priests and laity, focus on inter-parish matters such as liturgy, charity, and the proclamation of the Gospel. The parish committees provide direct support for the life of individual parishes, particularly in areas where a single priest serves multiple locations.
