Diocese of Treviso publishes reflection on 29th Sunday of Ordinary Time

Don Luca Vialetto of the Diocese of Treviso used a painting and a Roman coin to reflect on the Gospel for the 29th Sunday in Ordinary Time. He compared the image of Tiberius on a denarius to the image of God imprinted in every person.

Vialetto noted that Roman coins served as propaganda to promote an image. He suggested that while the silver denarius carried the face of Tiberius during the time of Jesus, believers should seek the image of the Creator, which finds its original model in Christ.
