Diocese of Guarulhos holds Mass for pilgrims to Aparecida

Bishop Edmilson Amador Caetano presided over a diocesan Mass on September 30 to send pilgrims to the National Shrine of Aparecida. The celebration took place at the Nossa Senhora Aparecida – Cocaia Parish.

During the Mass, Bishop Caetano gave a blessing to the pilgrims preparing for their journey to the shrine. The bishop requested that the blessing also extend to families, groups, and pilgrims who could not attend the service in person. Priests Marcos Vinícius and Bruno from the São Francisco Xavier Pastoral Area concelebrated the liturgy.

At the end of the celebration, artist Gilmar Pina presented a steel sculpture to the parish. The artwork depicts Our Lady of Aparecida within a map of Brazil.
