Discours du pape Léon XIV à la rencontre des catéchumènes à l’Institut Catholique de Paris

Pope Leo XIV met with catechumens, new converts, and members of the provincial ecclesial assembly at the Catholic Institute of Paris. During the meeting, the Pope noted the increasing number of adults seeking the sacraments of Christian initiation. He urged the Church to welcome, support, and fully integrate these individuals into their pastoral communities, describing the new members of the faith as a promise of future growth for the Church in France.

The Pope thanked Archbishop Laurent Ulrich of Paris for highlighting the spiritual history of the institute. He also acknowledged receiving the Instrumentum Laboris, which he described as a sign of the collaborative process involving the People of God through mutual listening and synodality. While at the institute, the Pope recognized the role of the university in connecting science and faith to serve the Gospel.
