Juan Carlos Moya Ovejero appointed Vicar for Consecrated Life in Ávila

Bishop Jesus Rico Garcia has appointed the Franciscan Juan Carlos Moya Ovejero as the Episcopal Vicar for Consecrated Life for the Diocese of Ávila. Moya Ovejero, a 56-year-old native of Honrubia, serves as the guardian of the San Antonio convent in Ávila and has been a parochial vicar at the San Antonio parish for one year. He also serves as the president of the Spanish Confederation of Religious (CONFER) within the diocese.

Moya Ovejero succeeds Juan Navarro Velázquez, who held the pastoral office for more than 20 years. The diocese expressed gratitude to Navarro Velázquez for his long service to the religious communities in the diocese.
