Catholic IntelligenceUpdated 1 min read

Pope Leo XIV told French authorities and members of the diplomatic corps at the Élysée Palace on Friday, September 25, that war is not inevitable and urged France to promote dialogue and diplomacy.

During his first speech to officials at the palace, the Pope addressed several central themes of his teaching. He called for disarmament and the pursuit of peace, while emphasizing the protection of the right to life as the essential foundation for all other human rights.

The Pope also raised concerns regarding the impact of artificial intelligence and the potential for science and technology to be manipulated. Specifically, he warned against practices such as surrogacy, organ trafficking, and euthanasia.
