Fr Jack Elkazzi installed as Parish Priest at St Thomas Aquinas Springwood
First source report
Bishop Vincent Long OFM Conv installed Father Jack Elkazzi as the parish priest of St. Thomas Aquinas in Springwood on Sunday, 25 October.
The appointment marks the first time the parish has had a dedicated parish priest in many years. Previously, pastoral leadership was shared with the neighboring Lawson parish, and the community had been served by administrators, including Father Chris del Rosario and Father Elkazzi, who arrived as administrator in June 2025.
During the ceremony at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Bishop Long described the occasion as an opportunity to begin a promising new chapter for the parish.
