Diocese of Kontum and Diocese of Bà Ria publish reflections on two new Blesseds

The Diocese of Kontum and the Diocese of Bà Ria have published reflections on the lives of two new blesseds, Phanxicô Xaviê Trương Bửu Diệp and Fulton J. Sheen. The writings examine how the lives of these two men offer different approaches to evangelization in the 21st century.

The reflections suggest that the two blesseds represent complementary missionary styles. Phanxicô Xaviê Trương Bửu Diệp is presented as a model of evangelization through presence and staying with the flock, while Fulton J. Sheen is highlighted for reaching new frontiers through media and creative communication.

The Diocese of Kontum uses these examples to suggest directions for the Church in Vietnam as it approaches the year 2033. These directions include moving from simply maintaining the faith to becoming missionary disciples, transitioning from traditional Catholic media to digital missions, and shifting from providing answers to listening to people's questions.
