First source report

Catholic IntelligenceUpdated 1 min read

Pope Leo XIV sent a video message to participants of the international meeting "Disarmed and Disarming Peace" in Assisi. The meeting took place from October 25 to 27.

In his message, the Pope stated that war cannot be holy and that only peace is holy. He said that peace must become a common ideal for nations and a guide for all choices to expose injustice. He called for the reconstruction of peace everywhere rather than the pursuit of further wars.

The Pope urged people to build peace through dialogue, prayer, and understanding to break the cycle of violence.
