Fundação AIS to mobilize children worldwide to pray for peace

The AIS Foundation is mobilizing children globally to pray for peace, an end to wars, armed conflicts, and terrorism. The initiative, titled "1 Million Children Pray the Rosary for Peace," has been held for 21 consecutive years.

Bishop José Ornelas of Leiria-Fátima presides over the Rosary prayer at the Sanctuary of Fátima. The foundation's 24 secretariats are participating in the effort to unite 1 million children in prayer.

Catarina Martins de Bettencourt, director of the AIS Foundation in Portugal, stated that communities across Africa, Europe, Asia, the Americas, and Australia participate. Children pray in families, parishes, and schools, ranging from large cities to isolated villages. The foundation provides registration forms and posters on its website to assist with the event.
