Focolare Movement celebrates 60 years in Portugal

The Focolare Movement held a meeting at the Paulo VI Pastoral Center in Fatima to mark 60 years of presence in Portugal. Teresa Gonçalves, who manages communications for the movement, said the group seeks to promote peace through daily dialogue and the building of bridges in divided areas.

Gonçalves stated that the movement aims to translate its charism of unity into concrete actions, such as listening to others, respecting differences, welcoming those who are excluded, and rebuilding relationships. She noted that the movement intends to work for peace through these everyday gestures rather than through large-scale projects.
