A digital search engine is available to help locate graves in the Archdiocese of Lublin

The Archdiocese of Lublin has highlighted a digital tool at cmentarz.app that allows users to find burial sites. The search engine provides map previews for more than 130 cemeteries within the archdiocese that maintain digital records of graves and the deceased.

To use the tool, people can select a specific cemetery from a list and enter the name of the deceased. The system provides the grave number, location details, and a photograph of the headstone to assist with identification. Users can also access an interactive map or navigation instructions to reach the burial site.

The archdiocese noted that not all cemeteries have been inventoried yet. The amount of information available depends on the specific location, so users should verify if a particular cemetery is included in the digital database before visiting.
