First source report

Catholic IntelligenceUpdated 1 min read

Pope Leo XIV has designated unaccompanied migrant minors as the focus for the 112th World Day of Migrants and Refugees. Using the theme "Even just one of these little ones," the Pope's message highlights the vulnerability of children within global migration flows.

The Diocese of Ávila will hold a Mass for the occasion at 13:00 on Sunday, September 27, at the San Vicente parish. In Burgos, a prayer vigil was scheduled for Wednesday, September 23, at the Salesas church, followed by a meeting of nations on September 26.

The Church of Burgos reported that its organizations supporting migrant minors assisted 12,380 people over the last year, with 28.4% being accompanied minors.
