Konferencja Episkopatu Polski holds 406th Plenary Assembly in Zakopane

The Polish Episcopal Conference held its 406th Plenary Assembly in Zakopane from October 22 to 24, 2026. Presided over by Archbishop Tadeusz Wojdy, the meeting addressed several topics, including the 10th anniversary of the post-synodal apostolic exhortation Amoris Laetitia.

In a communiqué, the bishops referenced a Vatican meeting held from October 7 to 14 for presidents of episcopal conferences regarding the anniversary of the exhortation. The bishops stated that sacramental marriage and the family serve as a path to holiness and remain a pillar of the Church and society. They noted the need to accompany young people and provide support to young married couples and families experiencing crises.

The assembly also included discussions regarding a commission of independent experts. Additionally, the bishops sent a letter to Pope Leo XIV to express spiritual support following his recent successful surgery.
