Panama Governor delivers earthquake relief donations to Caritas

Panama Governor Mayín Correa delivered donations to Archbishop José Domingo Ulloa Mendieta on Wednesday, October 28, to assist families affected by the October 9 earthquake. The governor donated funds received during her 91st birthday celebration to help people who lost their homes.

The Archdiocese of Panama will distribute the aid through Pastoral Social-Caritas. The donations are intended for communities in the Los Santos province, specifically in Macaracas and Llano de Piedra. Archbishop Ulloa stated that the governor intends to continue promoting fundraising through Caritas to increase assistance for affected families.

The archbishop also noted various acts of solidarity across the country following the earthquake, including contributions from residents in Darién.
