La parábola del banquete de bodas explicada brevemente por el Papa León XIV

Pope Leo XIV provided a brief explanation of the parable of the wedding banquet during the Angelus prayer on Sunday, October 18. Appearing from the window of the papal apartment following a recent announcement regarding an upcoming surgery, the pope addressed a large crowd of faithful.

Reflecting on the Gospel, the pope described the king's banquet as a celebration intended to share joy with everyone. He cited Saint Thomas Aquinas to note that good naturally tends to spread, suggesting that good events create a desire to include others in one's happiness.

The pope observed that, much like the guests in the parable who prioritized their own affairs or mistreated the king's messengers, people often fail to recognize or appreciate the good offered to them.
