La UNESCO quiere escuchar a León XIV hablar sobre IA cuando visite su sede

Pope Leo XIV will visit the UNESCO headquarters in Paris on September 25 to close the XV Foro de la Juventud en la Era Digital. This visit marks the first time a pope has visited the organization in 46 years.

The forum focuses on the teachings of the papal encyclical Magnifica humanitas regarding the challenges of artificial intelligence. UNESCO stated that the program will address contemporary issues including information integrity, education, and artistic creation in the age of AI. During the event, young people will participate in various roundtables on these topics.

UNESCO noted that the priorities of the Holy See and the organization align on the need for a renewed humanism during rapid technological change. The institution emphasized the importance of protecting vulnerable people and placing human dignity at the center of innovation. The Pope previously discussed these matters during a meeting in June with UNESCO Director General Khaled El-Enany.
