Le pape Léon XIV à la rencontre des catéchumènes et néophytes à Paris

Pope Leo XIV will meet with catechumens and neophytes at the Catholic Institute of Paris on Saturday, September 26. The meeting is part of his first apostolic journey to France, scheduled from September 25 to 28.

The pope will deliver a speech regarding the inner transformation experienced by those seeking to enter the Church. He will also listen to testimonies from catechumens and neophytes, who will be accompanied by their mentors and the rectors of the five Catholic institutes in France. Following a walk through the institute's courtyard, the pope will pray in the garden near the stairs honoring the martyrs of 1792, who were priests killed during the French Revolution.

The gathering is part of a provincial council themed around new perspectives for the life of the Church through catechumens and neophytes. While the event is closed to the public, KTO will broadcast it live. This meeting follows a trend in France where an increasing number of adults seek baptism or enter the Church each year.
