Pope Leo XIV to pray Rosary for peace in October

First source report

Catholic IntelligenceUpdated 1 min read

Pope Leo XIV called on Christian communities to pray the Rosary throughout October to seek an end to wars and establish peace between conflicting nations. Speaking at the Sanctuary of Lourdes in France on September 27, the Pope invited the faithful to accompany these prayers with specific acts of penance and mercy.

The Pope also requested a commitment to supporting ongoing dialogue and reconciliation. During his address before the Angelus, he noted the connection between the Rosary and the Marian apparitions at Lourdes, where the Virgin Mary appeared to Saint Bernadette with a Rosary.
