First source report

Catholic IntelligenceUpdated 1 min read

Pope Leo XIV stated during a general audience on September 23, 2026, that technological progress intended to improve living conditions does not contradict God's plan. During his catechesis, the Pope said people do not need to abandon their work to meet God but should instead perform their duties well.

The Pope addressed ideologies that view belief in God as obsolete due to technological advancements. He argued that denying a relationship with God results in losing the ability to affirm the transcendent value of the human person.
