Les trois messes de Léon XIV en France

Pope Leo XIV celebrated three Masses in Paris, Lourdes, and Metz during a four day apostolic visit to France. The schedule also included Vespers at Notre-Dame.

During a celebration with priests and consecrated religious, the pope taught that Eucharistic joy grows where harmony, dignity, and service through authority are present. He told priests to prioritize communion with the Church and the pope over their personal sensitivities to help foster unity among the people of God.

Bishop Jean-Yves Riocreux reported that the liturgies featured Gregorian chant and French singing. He noted that the celebrations were well organized to distribute communion to thousands of faithful and maintained a notable conciseness, lasting approximately one hour and thirty minutes.
