Bishop Aurelio Pesoa exhorts faithful to seek God sincerely

Bishop Aurelio Pesoa of the Apostolic Vicariate of Beni urged the faithful to seek God with sincerity and to move past attitudes that cause division. During a message released on September 20, 2026, Pesoa told the community to leave behind selfishness and envy to better recognize God's mercy and generosity.

Reflecting on the parable of the workers in the vineyard, Pesoa explained that seeking the Lord requires turning away from evil, trusting in God, and listening to His Word. He stated that salvation is a gift of God's compassionate love rather than a personal achievement. He encouraged people to value the spirit and responsibility they bring to their missions instead of focusing on the number of works or merits they possess.

Pesoa also addressed national concerns, including the lack of dignified work, difficulties accessing healthcare, unequal justice, and fuel shortages. He noted that these challenges require a sincere conversion and a commitment to living out the Gospel.
