Papa León XIV: “Los planes de Dios son infinitamente más grandes”

Pope Leo XIV told pilgrims in St. Peter's Square on September 20, 2026, that God's plans are much larger and more human than those conceived by people. During his reflection before the Angelus prayer, the pope used the prophet Isaiah to explain that God's ways and thoughts differ from human ones.

The pope commented on the Gospel parable of the workers in the vineyard to explain that God is for everyone rather than just a specific group. He noted that while some workers labored all day and others only for a few hours, the landowner treated them all with the same goodness. Pope Leo XIV said this shows that God has new ways and thoughts even for those who believe they have earned their status or results through their own merit.
