First source report

Catholic IntelligenceUpdated 1 min read

Pope Leo XIV will visit France from September 25 to 28, 2026, and plans to meet with victims of abuse during a stop in Lourdes.

According to La Croix reporter Mikael Corre, the Pope intends to follow a pattern similar to his previous visit to Spain by meeting with survivors. Advocacy groups expect the Pope to speak clearly on the issue of sexual abuse, which they describe as an open wound affecting the credibility of the Church.
