París niega la acreditación al medio católico Tribune Chrétienne para cubrir la visita de León XIV

Paris authorities denied accreditation to the Catholic media outlet Tribune Chrétienne for the upcoming visit of Pope Leo XIV. The publication reported on Tuesday that it has not received any objective reason for the decision and has asked Archbishop Laurent Ulrich to explain the criteria used for the request.

Tribune Chrétienne noted a discrepancy in the accreditation process, as the outlet received permission to cover the Pope's visit to Lourdes during this same apostolic journey but was rejected for the events in Paris. The publication stated that it is not seeking special privileges but is requesting that the selection criteria be transparent, objective, and applied equally to all media.

The outlet is published by the association La Petite Voie and is recognized by the Commission paritaire des publications et agences de presse, the French body that certifies publications meeting press requirements. Tribune Chrétienne confirmed that its journalists hold professional press cards.
