Pope Leo XIV tells artists the Church needs them

Pope Leo XIV told artists and curators during a Vatican meeting that the Church needs their talents to help make the Gospel accessible and easy to understand, particularly in the age of internet search engines and artificial intelligence.

The Pope expressed gratitude to those who collaborated with the Vatican to design the Holy See pavilions for the Venice Biennale. He noted that the contributions of artists are invaluable during an era of consumerism and technological progress.

The Pope told the participants that the Church views them with esteem and hope, stating that the Church wishes to walk alongside them to protect human grandeur.
