Pope Leo XIV describes the present with a striking image

Pope Leo XIV used a metaphor to describe the current state of humanity, stating that people face a choice between building a new Babel or constructing a city where God and people live together.

According to a report from the Sisters of Saint Mary Magdalene Postel, the Pope's image of Babel does not represent an opposition to education, progress, the economy, or technology. He noted that artificial intelligence, data, and digital communication can serve humanity, but a Babel is created when humans focus solely on themselves.
