Pope Leo XIV appears in the final scenes of the documentary film Pétros ení, which premiered October 16 at the Rome Film Festival. In the film, the pope discusses the figure of St. Peter, including his human weaknesses, and the significance of the apostle's tomb located beneath the Vatican Basilica.

Directed by Paula Ortiz, the documentary explores the history, archaeology, and faith surrounding the origins of St. Peter's Basilica and the search for the apostle's grave. American actor Chris Pratt also appears in the film. The production was released to coincide with the 400th anniversary of the consecration of the Vatican Basilica.
