Pope Leo XIV to correct Amoris Laetitia

First source report

Catholic IntelligenceUpdated 1 min read

Monsignor Martin Grichting has called on Pope Leo XIV to issue a magisterial correction to the post-synodal exhortation Amoris Laetitia to preserve Church unity.

Grichting argues that the document effectively abolishes Church moral doctrine in practice by allowing priests and other companions to perform pastoral discernments for people living in adultery. He claims these discernments can allow individuals to receive the sacraments of the Eucharist without changing their conduct or breaking the bond of marriage. Grichting states this process pulverizes the Word of God and causes the faithful to lose their faith by opening the door to arbitrary decisions in individual cases.
